ABOUT KYROZ

KYROZ
Kyroz is a Canadian alternative artist founded in May 2022. Born in Edmonton, raised in Montréal, based in Regina.
Releasing multiple albums/EPs/singles across the few years.
Before Kyroz, he was under the name "Gamer boy" from July 2019 - May 2022. Releasing an 8 song mixtape album titled "Denial" 3 separate singles titled "My Own Nightmare" in October 2019 & "COVID-19" in April 2020 as well as "Cure" in June 2020. Also releasing a 3 song single titled "Three Singles 2021" which consisted of tracks "Quickscope" (released September 2020), "Consternation" (released July 2021), as well as "Revive" (released December 2021) to finish the 3 track single also released in December 2021.
With hoping for a 14 song album titled "Excuses to be sorry...", seen to be scrapped. Meant to be released in March 2022 but has never seen the day of release.
Moving forward, Kyroz wanted to take a different approach with music. The LP he wanted to release was not going to work in sadness. So in late April came the idea of a more fun way of making music on garage band. Starting off with "Give The Recorder Some" and start the rebrand from "Gamer boy" to "Kyroz".
Originally meant to be "Kyros", he decided to go with "Kyroz" due to the influence and love for the Montréal punk scene from bands like "Ripcordz" & "The Ruffianz". Then gets to work on his new style of music, a more meme-rap approach. Releasing singles like "Hey", "Run It Up" & "Give the Recorder Some" across the summer of 2022. September sees "Shrek's Descendant" as well as the 5 song EP "Universal Home", which consisted of the two singles "Hey" & "Run It Up" released earlier that summer. Later on that year saw one more single titled "Feelings" the first more serious approach to the music, a love written song. Not even week after that release saw the first LP Kyroz released titled "Universally Tactical" to finish off the year. Consisted of the singles "Give The Recorder Some", "Shrek's Descendant", & "Feelings".
2023 arrives and Kyroz is unsure of what is to come next, at the little studio his high school had. Every class he started working on new ideas on where his sound would go next, same as the house. He had worked with samples made from the website that later became "Million Thoughts" around February 2023, as well as experimenting with all sorts of sounds to create a similar yet different. This time around he wanted to take it a little more serious than the album before. Incorporating more of a faith taken route with some songs and just write how he feels in the moment. Also making a demo from a scrapped deluxe version of "Excuses to be sorry..." when under "Gamer boy" come to life, "Never Break Down" was one of those incomplete demos that had the chorus written yet nothing else. The final verse was taken from the final verse of another demo in the vault he had in 2021 titled "My Point of View". Then experimenting with his friends at his school then releasing "Like A Pumpkin" in the spring of 2023, further in the year releases an EP in the summer titled "Summer Sessions" which consists of the first track to hit a milestone on Spotify titled "Dominion" and another version of a track from the upcoming LP written at a summer camp he went to called "Little Light". A couple months go by and he surprises us with a 6 track EP titled "Shattered Universe", introducing all the songs that did not make it on the LP but still has meaning and worth to Kyroz. Afterwards, he goes on to release another single for the upcoming album titled "My Day" in the fall of 2023. Then to finish off the year once again in December, releases a 14 track LP titled "Shattered Reality". An alternative album more focused on an experimental mix of rap & pop.
Now the new year comes and no motion has been done for Kyroz besides a couple open mic acts, no motion for the album. With a release of a music video for "Taking the Lead", taking a little tease on how the next album is gonna go for a story mixed in. "Inferno" was an idea and started getting written around May 2024. Starting off with "Going Alone", "Dizamr" & "Black Out Your Eyez" being the first 3 lyric demos. "Dizamr" was already written on Kyroz's Gretsch guitar when he tested out the drop-d tune on his newly bought guitar. The lyric idea came from the lyric "How am I supposed to go, when I don't even know?". The other two now released singles were written while he was living at his grandmothers for a little bit. Originally he wanted to revive the idea of "Excuses to be sorry..." with "Excuses to Apologize" as the new idea, but then the name "Inferno" lurked on his mind and his want to create a story and import it in his music. So "Inferno" stayed and no that was the album. With multiple demos and multiple styles done. He still has not enough material for a new album. Summer of 2024 he collaborated with a up and coming artist "BrokeNGlass" for a single titled "Shame Myself", a new style and a new look for the music and single covers. Somewhat introducing the new era, "The Inferno Era". After some falling out and not so public controversy and drama (still ongoing until the next year) in between the two artists, as well as BrokeNGlass asking to remove his whole catalogue (reason was that Kyroz had helped distribute it for free for him). Kyroz decided to step away and move forward from his collaborator and music partner. Later on in the year sees almost no music until December, releasing a 5 song EP "Fall Sessions" which included another version of a song from the upcoming LP "New Light". Then at the end of the year surprise released a single titled "One Chance", which fully introduced the new era incorporating the new story in the music videos.
New year 2025, more not so public controversy with an ex-partner, Kyroz has seen to release a controversial track titled "Final Goodbye" (as well in the process of finishing the writing process for "Inferno"), heavily inspired from the song "Don't Look Back In Anger" by Oasis. Feeling as it was right to release it on the suppose to be the 2 year anniversary, he released the track sparking more controversy in between him and his ex-partner as well as bringing multiple people into the drama surrounding that part. Pushing on through it all, April sees the first single to the album "Going Alone". Announcing that there will be a new album with no release date, but an album was coming. After some promotion and a first set list performed in March, summer saw "Dizamr" released, the second official single of the new album "Inferno". After filming "Black Out Your Eyez", in between filming and release he also filmed it with his collaborator & friend Nick Le from "Alethia Features" (now "Nick Films"). "North Star" & "Home Again" were filmed on a same day a week or two after the filming of "Black Out Your Eyez". October saw the release of the third and final single "Black Out Your Eyez" for "Inferno". Performing a couple open mics and finalizing production and mastering for Inferno, thinking it would break the "December Curse" as Kyroz would put it. December finally saw "Inferno" with an extra 4 music videos for "North Star", "Home Again", "Leave Me" & "Ghost". With plans on releasing a music video for every song on the album, Inferno is now released. The start of a new chapter and hopes for a bright future in his career.
